TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

· Maintenance and Repair:

o Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

o Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other technical issues and implement appropriate solutions to restore functionality and reliability.

o Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedules and protocols to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.

· Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

o Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, failures, or abnormalities to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

o Utilize diagnostic tools, test equipment, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.

· Installation and Calibration:

o Install, configure, and calibrate new equipment, machinery, or systems according to specifications, standards, and safety protocols.

o Ensure proper alignment, setup, and integration of equipment components to optimize performance and functionality.

· Safety and Compliance:

o Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents, injuries, or hazardous situations.

o Follow manufacturer instructions, technical specifications, and industry standards to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.

· Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, in maintenance logs or databases.

o Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and service records to track maintenance history, equipment performance, and compliance with maintenance schedules.

Qualifications:

· Technical diploma or certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of generator sets or similar equipment.

· Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in gensets. Knowledge of genset control systems and safety protocols.

· Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
