Job summary

The Company in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in Taman Johor Jaya, Johor. You will design and implement electrical systems, oversee installation and testing, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years of related experience, strong CAD/ETAP skills, and knowledge of local codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, installation, or project management.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and circuit design.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to Malaysia and the region.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment.
• PE registration or willingness to pursue it would be advantageous.
• Experience with industrial automation, renewable energy systems, or power systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and drawings.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate project requirements.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure project execution.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance assessments of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective solutions.
• Provide technical support to junior team members and site personnel.
