Ensure safe and smooth operations of the entire Electrical Installation and monitoring of High Voltage facility equipment performance.
Responsible for energy management and saving strategies related to electricity utilization.
Monitor and analyze causes of machine downtime and ensure all scheduled maintenance is carried out on time.
Maintain and improve system documentation, procedures, policies, work instructions, and scope of work as part of continuous improvement beyond ISO 9000, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
Manage and communicate regularly with the maintenance team to ensure effective two-way communication regarding maintenance issues, including training and development.
Liaise with utility providers or government regulatory bodies such as TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, & DOSH to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to electrical systems and installations.
Ensure successful startup of plant commissioning and operation from a maintenance perspective.
Practice and establish electricity energy reduction measures to achieve and optimize high energy efficiency, resulting in cost savings.
Ensure cost-effective maintenance and repairs of electrical/instrument equipment and machinery.
Prepare reports, analyze E&I data, develop optimal solutions, and lead implementation.
Execute verification and calibration of secondary standard equipment and process instrument systems in a timely manner.
Plan, liaise, issue, maintain documents, monitor performance, and ensure completion of SAP-PM tasks and projects as scheduled, in a cost-effective and correct manner.
Manage and supervise contractors involved in new E&I system installation, improvement, repair, and service work.
Identify risks and hazards during operation and ensure adherence to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
Establish standard procedures and maintain control documents related to E&I processes with proper filing.
Ensure implementation of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance in a planned, organized, and controlled manner to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.
Participate in and recommend improvements to maintenance and production operations from an E&I perspective.
Apply and adhere to company and safety rules.
Skills & Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Chargeman certification is an advantage.
Experience in Process Instrumentation, verification, and calibration.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar/process industry.
