Job summary

Optical and Semiconductor Test Equipment in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Electrical Process Engineer for mass-production equipment. You will convert design drawings into SOPs for electrical assembly, wiring and testing, and coordinate with local suppliers to ensure quality during mass production.

The role focuses on electrical performance verification, EMC rectification, process optimization and cost-effective changes while supporting on-site commissioning and after-sales service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related fields.
• At least 3 years in electrical/ manufacturing engineering for automated mass production.
• Familiar with electrical schematic diagrams and wiring specifications; servo system commissioning.
• Capable of mass production electrical yield improvement and process optimization.
• Able to use English as a working language.

Responsibilities

• Implement electrical processes for mass-production equipment and formulate SOPs for electrical assembly, wiring and testing.
• Coordinate with local electrical component suppliers and assembly resources in Malaysia; control incoming material quality.
• Carry out electrical performance verification and EMC rectification; optimize wiring processes and yield.
• Implement electrical design changes at mass-production stage and improve reliability.
• Support on-site commissioning and after-sales service; quickly troubleshoot electrical faults.

What requirements you'll need to be eligible

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related fields.
• Work Experience: At least 3 years of working experience in electrical process / manufacturing engineering for automated equipment mass production; experience in precision equipment mass production is preferred.
• Professional Skills: Familiar with electrical schematic diagrams and wiring specifications; proficient in upper computer control, servo system commissioning and troubleshooting; familiar with electrical component selection and local supply chain resources.
• Competencies: Capable of mass production electrical yield improvement and process optimization with strong hands-on skills.
• General Requirements: Able to use English as a working language.

What you'll be doing on the job

• Be responsible for the implementation of electrical processes for mass-production equipment, convert design drawings, and formulate standard operating procedures (SOP) for mass-production electrical assembly, wiring and testing.
• Coordinate with local electrical component suppliers and assembly resources in Malaysia, control incoming material quality, and resolve electrical process issues during mass production.
• Carry out electrical performance verification and EMC rectification for mass-production equipment, optimize electrical wiring processes, and improve mass production yield and consistency.
• Responsible for the implementation of electrical design changes at the mass-production stage, as well as electrical cost optimization and reliability improvement.
• Support on-site commissioning and after-sales service, quickly troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults of mass-production equipment.
