Job summary
Southern Steel Berhad is seeking an Electrical / Electronic Engineer (Manufacturing) to join Malaysia's leading steel producer in Penang. You will gain hands-on experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and equipment issues, planning maintenance to minimise downtime, improving plant reliability and supporting automation and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- 1-2 years relevant working experience preferred.
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Manufacturing industry exposure is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and equipment-related issues.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.
- Improve plant reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Support plant improvement, automation, and continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety, SOP, and ISO requirements.
