Premier Recruitment Group has the privilege to recruit on behalf of our very prestigious client based in Basildon, Essex. We are recruiting for an experienced and forward-thinking Electrical Control Panel Builder. This is a full-time and permanent position working for a well-established company.

This role offers variety and scope for progression. We are looking to appoint an Electrical Control Panel Builder to work alongside Automation Technicians to produce electrical wiring diagrams for control systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work as part of the Automation department in building, wiring, and installing control panels.
  2. Check required panel components against issued wiring diagrams and control panel layouts.
  3. Assemble control panel enclosures: building plinths, assembling bays, and side panels.
  4. Layout chassis plates in line with panel layouts and collaborate with Electrical Design Draughtsman to achieve optimal panel layout and design.
  5. Assemble components onto chassis plates and secure accordingly.
  6. Using issued wiring diagrams, wire the control panel in cooperation with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician.
  7. Mark up wiring diagrams as wiring is completed and report any errors to the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician.

  • Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification.
  • Systematic approach to work with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and curiosity, with a willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Desire to improve and develop their area of work.
  • Ability to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor staff.
