Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd (A Member of Wilmar International Group of Companies) in Pasir Gudang. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as troubleshooting electrical systems, designing process controls, and maintaining instrumentation equipment to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Power / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in plant electrical engineering work, including designing, planning, overseeing construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Background in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC (S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500) is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with edible oil, food manufacturing, and oleo processing plants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support electrical plant systems, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, control & instrument systems.
  • Manage all electrical activities in the factory.
  • Delegate electrical work to chargeman and wireman.
  • Install and commission electrical systems.
  • Lead electricians and apprentices in preventive maintenance, instrument calibration, optimization, installation upgrades, and control systems (PLC, SCADA).
  • Supervise subcontractor teams when necessary.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with standards and electrical assignments.
  • Maintain records of electrical jobs and assign tasks appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and standards enforced by authorities.
  • Participate in implementing management systems such as HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, RSPO, etc.
