Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in chemical industrial process equipment and improvement projects related to Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) equipment: electrical switchgear, motor and drives, motor protection systems, lighting, air conditioning and ventilation, earthing and surge protection, cables, DCS / PLC, indicators and transmitters, valves, pneumatic systems, and related electrical and instruments.
- Possess critical thinking and a good exploration of the latest technology to suit E&I works and duties.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Job Descriptions:
- Plan, schedule, manage, update, and oversee planned maintenance tasks (e.g., schedule checklist, workshop, spare parts, consumables, tools) and projects according to requirements, optimizing performance, specifications, budget vs cost, resources, schedule, safety, etc.
- Review engineering documents submitted by consultants, contractors, or vendors.
- Participate and conduct hazard studies such as HAZOPs and JSA.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimation, and CAPEX proposals for projects.
- Prepare RFQ documents including BQ, equipment datasheets, and purchase orders.
- Prepare contractor/vendor quotation evaluations and recommend selections.
- Schedule and track contractors/vendors' progress, quality control, and reporting.
- Attend equipment inspections and factory acceptance tests.
- Supervise site installation and inspection work.
- Develop and manage equipment drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions where necessary by the organization.
- Assist and develop documentation on the PFDs and P&IDs, manage related manuals, datasheets, and report keeping with necessary document keeping for future reference.
- Minimize breakdown of process equipment and prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
- Supervise, train, and guide subordinates, leading by example with good initiative, discipline, being open to continuous learning, and constantly motivating the E&I team.
- Ensure all environmental, health, and safety rules and guidelines are being adhered to and maintain high safety standards and a safe working environment.
- Familiar with authority equipment system license requirements, renewal, and maintenance of authority equipment.
- Actively involved in all company's certification and event committees, e.g., SHE, ISO, MHMS, annual dinner, etc.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, and ensure good and safe equipment.
- Be on-call when necessary to support team members and production.
- Assess the need for overtime work and verify work carried out by the E&I team and contract workers.
