Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an EHS Officer to lead health and safety programs across data center facilities in the APAC region. You will drive safety policies, coordinate inspections, and support engineering teams to maintain high safety, service, and reporting standards.

You will conduct risk assessments, deliver trainings, and manage incidents while ensuring compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of health and safety experience in data centers or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Experience supporting EHS programs, audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident management.
• Ability to manage multiple streams and priorities under pressure.
• Experience with client reporting and stakeholder management.
• English written and spoken proficiency is required.
• Industry-recognized qualifications in health and safety are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of EHS policies, systems, and procedures across site operations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments for compliance with health and safety legislation and client standards.
• Assist in preparing SWMS, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
• Provide coaching to site teams, subcontractors, and vendors on safe work practices.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training to strengthen site safety culture.
• Maintain safety records and documentation for projects and clients.
• Support incident, near miss, and corrective action management with follow-up.
• Provide leadership support to onsite engineering operations across workstreams.
• Ensure adherence to Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures by site teams and vendors.
• Support SLA, KPI, and client reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Contribute to vendor governance and corrective action plans where needed.
• Advise on operating client facilities safely, including statutory compliance and certification requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure safe on-site execution.
• Liaise with clients, landlords, vendors, and platform teams to support performance and scalability.
• Assist with budget compliance as per contract requirements.

About You:

• 3+ years of relevant health and safety experience in data centers, critical environments, engineering operations sites, or similar industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Experience supporting EHS programs, audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident management.
• Proven ability to work across multiple operational streams and manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence site teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, client reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Written and spoken English proficiency is required.
• Professional qualifications in health and safety or related disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Industry-recognized professional qualifications in relevant fields are an advantage.
• Proficiency in CMMS or operations management systems such as MCIM, Famis 360, BI dashboard tools, or similar platforms.
