Your Role
  • Manage radiation safety and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO45001, and regulatory requirements
  • Handle, store, identify, and dispose of scheduled waste according to legal requirements
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the scheduled waste store
  • Update monthly scheduled waste inventory in the e-SWIS system
  • Submit e-consignment notes for waste disposal to DOE
  • Liaise with the Department of Environmental (DOE)
  • Conduct waste disposal site audits
  • Ensure full compliance with the Atomic Energy Licensing Act and review periodically for updates
  • Serve as liaison with the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) on licensing and radiation safety issues
  • Update radiation management information in the e-Lesen system
  • Liaise with the Malaysian Nuclear Agency on calibration of survey meters
  • Arrange distribution of OSL badges to radiation workers
  • Manage submission of OSL badges to the Malaysian Nuclear Agency and communicate results to staff within stipulated periods
  • Ensure monthly radiation monitoring (area and personnel) to verify safety levels as per legal limits
  • Conduct weekly workplace inspections and periodic audits
Your Skills & Experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or Science
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Registered Radiation Protection Officer
  • Experience in radiation monitoring and ISO management systems is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Business proficiency in English and Malay
