To lead the EHS related program, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Company corporate regulatory requirements.

Assists in administering EHS regulatory, internal program documentation, developing technical documents including EHS procedures and programs.

Attend to DOSH, DOE, BOMBA officer inspection and audits.

Duties/Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct and coordinate the EHS, OHS, and 5S audits and meetings.
2. Provide updates on new or changed regulations and guide implementation.
3. Update the Register of New Chemicals.
4. Provide annual EHS training and safety briefings to new hires, vendors, and contractors.
5. Update Safety Data Sheets and translate them into the local language.
6. Conduct safety buy-offs for new equipment and new areas.
7. Be certified or to be certified as a schedule waste competent person and advise on schedule waste control.
8. Participate in line walk during Bomba/DOSH/DOE visits.
9. Coordinate ISO 14001 external and internal audits.
10. Support external/government inspections (regulatory requirements).
11. Review third-party lab reports and update the register of legal requirements.
12. Coordinate environmental aspect impact assessments, lead emergency response teams (first aid, chemical spill, PPE, hose reels, ERT training, fire drills).
13. Perform any other job responsibilities assigned by the supervisor as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Environmental, Health, Safety) or related fields.
2. Preferably certified Safety & Health Officer by DOSH Malaysia with 3+ years relevant experience.
3. Familiar with ISO 14001 and safety compliance and auditing.
4. Technical expertise in analyzing numerical data and industry performance measures such as Loss Time Injury Rates and Recordable Incident Rates.
