Job summary

GAOCE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior EHS leader to establish and enhance the company’s integrated EHS management system.

The role focuses on production safety, hazardous chemicals control, environmental protection and occupational health, with oversight of procedures and implementation. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage licenses, conduct emergency planning, training, and risk controls, and supervise cross-functional teams to reduce on-site risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• At least 3 years of overall EHS management experience in manufacturing.
• Familiar with local safety and environmental regulations; capable of independently managing hazardous chemicals and establishing & operating occupational health systems.
• Hold local fire safety supervisor certificate and safety management personnel post certificate; GHS training qualification preferred.
• Preferred: Mandarin communication proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and improvement of the integrated EHS management system; formulate management systems and operating procedures for production safety, hazardous chemicals control, environmental protection and occupational health; supervise implementation and optimize the system.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities (emergency, environmental protection, etc.); manage EHS licenses, registrations, and annual reviews to ensure full legal compliance.
• Develop emergency plans and organize regular drills; coordinate training on safety, environmental protection and occupational health to enhance safety awareness and reduce on-site risks.
• Track changes in local EHS laws and regulations; adjust internal controls; implement compliance rectification and mitigate safety, environmental and health risks.
