Flex is seeking an Environment Health & Safety Manager in Malaysia to lead EH&S programs across offices and manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Director, EHS, you will supervise a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive cost-effective safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent EH&S experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise EH&S programs across offices, manufacturing sites, and plants to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and performance requirements for EH&S initiatives.
• Conduct meetings on environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in line with regulations.
• Provide guidance to staff and act as advisor to units to meet schedules and resolve issues.
• Propose policy changes affecting subordinate organizations and interact with stakeholders.
• Deliver presentations on project timelines and EH&S topics; manage budgets and resources for EH&S activities.
• Train staff on policy changes and HR-related actions to recruit and retain qualified personnel.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Environment Health & Safety Manager located in Flex PTP.

Reporting to the Director, EHS the Environment Health & Safety Manager role is responsible to be in charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
• Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
• Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
• Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
• Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
• Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
• Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
• Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
