WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Project Management
- Responsible for the smooth and proper implementation of mechanical and electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and design standards.
- Involved in planning and design coordination from conceptual design, zoning layout planning, room interaction, material interaction to construction and completion within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Design and Documentation
- Conduct cost impact studies on design development to achieve high efficiency and sustainable M&E systems.
- Provide expertise in M&E planning and methodology for projects.
- Check detailed drawings and specifications of M&E systems.
- Set SOPs for all M&E design systems such as Electrical, Air Conditioning, BAS, FPS/FAS, Pumps, Plumbing, Gas, ELV, Card Access, CCTV, Barrier Gates, Lifts, Escalators, and Travelators.
- Review and evaluate M&E consultants and related engineers.
- Participate in tendering and value engineering exercises.
- Coordination and Collaboration
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects to ensure cohesive design.
- Attend client and consultant meetings to maintain design intent throughout construction.
- Coordinate with contractors, authorities, and internal departments on project requirements and compliance.
- Prepare reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance
- Review and standardize design for projects, ensuring safety, practicality, cost efficiency, and aesthetics.
- Monitor construction progress through site visits, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to designs and standards.
- Ensure M&E systems comply with Acts and By-Laws.
- Innovation and Research
- Support team members in project design, optimization, and market trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in consultancy and property development, with high-rise, landed, and township projects.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dialux.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, positive attitude, team-player, willing to travel.
