About Financial Markets Operations:
We are a global operations team supporting the financial markets business by providing operations solutions in foreign exchange, rates, commodities, credit markets, and financing and securities services. We operate in 40 countries and employ around 3,000 colleagues globally. Our mission is to support financial markets to increase return on tangible equity for our shareholders safely, sustainably, and securely.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Solve complex inquiries, conduct discovery, and complete due diligence activities for client requests.
  • Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution.
  • Participate in capacity planning to determine the production capacity needed daily to meet changing demands.
  • Implement business plans, policies, and procedures that offer solutions and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Organize leave coverage to ensure adequate resources for work continuity.
  • Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, or projects within the country.
  • Propose solutions to improve settlement processes, client service, or technology.

Business

  • Deliver processing standards and expectations for FXMM operations.
  • Manage one or multiple processes and projects.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders and make decisive actions.
  • Assess and address confirmation/settlement issues.
  • Provide sign-off for DOI to update process procedures.
  • Manage daily performance of pre-settlement activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external clients to assess service quality and identify improvement areas.

Processes

  • Facilitate treasury operations for FXMM asset classes efficiently.
  • Articulate various product and end-to-end operation processes for Foreign Exchange and Money Market products.
  • Ensure KPIs, CST, and SLA are met.
  • Resolve reconciliation breaks promptly.
  • Timely resolve internal and external customer queries.
  • Investigate GL Suspense and Nostro account imbalances.
  • Act as gatekeeper for high-value settlements.

Risk Management

  • Update desk operating procedures regularly.
  • Identify and investigate routine process errors and omissions.
  • Aim to reduce processing errors internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and risk control measures.
  • Adhere to group standards and report suspicious trades per AML policies.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and managing control issues transparently.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree or Diploma in Banking or equivalent.
  • Over 5 years of relevant banking operations experience.
  • Positive, agile, well-rounded, and collaborative.
  • Strong problem-solving, data literacy, analytical, and judgment skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in process re-engineering or automation for large-scale FM products.
  • Client-centric with a focus on customer experience.
  • Flexible to shift hours (MESA/UK), e.g., 12 pm-10 pm.
