Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, plan and optimize international transportation routes and familiarize on the route efficiency and road restriction.
- Knowledge and mastery in distribution and transportation issues, as well as understanding of international legislation and regulation and ensure compliance with international regulations related to transportation and trade.
- Perform research and analysis to optimize transportation processes, ensuring convenience and motorist safety.
- Obtain knowledge regarding all the related costs and factors that drive transportation costs such as fixed costs, variable costs, and cost drivers. Monitor transport costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Analyze new projects related to capital expenditure (Capex) and operational expenditure (OPEX), and generate forecasting data for management review.
- Identify hidden costs contributing to additional expenses during the final leg of delivery, assess risks, and provide insights and recommendations to upper management based on data analysis.
- Participate in budget distribution, maintain databases, train new workforce members, and develop new programs and projects.
- Forecast or compare data between hired 3PL services and in-house transportation options.
- Conduct logistical studies and data analysis evaluations to recommend future logistics strategies.
- Analyze transport management system data and trends for future planning.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of current systems, conduct risk assessments, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Respond quickly and effectively to problems or incidents, demonstrating agility.
- Manage the development, performance, and maintenance of the organization’s transport systems to maximize performance, value, and profitability against targets.
- Present data summaries, reports, and proposals to stakeholders, and collaborate across departments.
- Provide effective liaison, support, and assistance within the organization.
Job Requirements
- At least 7-10 years of experience in transportation coordination, planning, or related supply chain roles.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Logical and systematic problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, and flexibility to manage change.
- Experience negotiating with vendors and contractors.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of transport policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team management skills.
- Positive attitude towards continuous learning and growth.
