A leading company in language education seeks a Human Resource Executive to support HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, and training. The ideal candidate will uphold high standards of professionalism and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Position Title: Human Resource Executive
Department: Human Resources
Reporting to: Director of Finance and Administration
Location: ELS Language Centres, Malaysia
The Human Resource Executive is responsible for supporting the full spectrum of Human Resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, training administration, HR operations, and compliance reporting. The incumbent is expected to deliver high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence, in alignment with ELS Malaysia’s mission and organisational values.
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including drafting job advertisements, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, and managing candidate communications.
Manage the onboarding and induction process to ensure a smooth and professional integration of new hires.
Maintain and update recruitment trackers, onboarding records, and employee profiles.
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances, escalating appropriately to the Director of Finance and Administration.
Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, staff surveys, wellness initiatives, and internal communication programmes.
Assist in initiatives to strengthen employee morale, retention, and reinforce the company’s culture code.
Coordinate the organisation of internal and external training programmes, handling all related logistics.
Maintain comprehensive training records and monitor completion status to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
Maintain accurate and updated employee records, ensuring HRIS data integrity and adherence to statutory requirements.
Prepare necessary HR documentation, including offer letters, confirmation letters, warnings, and resignation acceptances.
Support the payroll administration process by verifying and submitting attendance, leave, and overtime data in a timely manner.
Administer employee benefits and assist employees with related enquiries and claims.
Ensure consistent communication and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Prepare timely HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics for senior management and board reporting.
Monitor updates to Malaysian labour laws, statutory regulations, and HR best practices, providing recommendations for policy revisions where necessary.
Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; however, a minimum of one (1) year relevant working experience is preferred.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR operational standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HR information systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management capabilities.
Experience in the education or service industry will be an added advantage.
Demonstrates a proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.
