Job Description

As an Operations Associate in the Monee / ShopeePay team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of digital payment processes, improving operational workflows, and supporting business expansion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payment efficiency, merchant operations, risk management, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day payment operations, ensuring smooth transaction processing and issue resolution.
  • Monitor key operational metrics, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Product, Risk, Compliance, Business Development) to streamline payment operations and merchant onboarding.
  • Support the implementation of new payment features, policies, and fraud prevention measures.
  • Assist in troubleshooting payment failures, merchant disputes, and customer escalations.
  • Collaborate with external partners such as banks, payment providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and develop reports to improve service quality.
  • Support automation and digitalization of processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure all transactions and processes comply with security, risk, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with availability to start work full-time in 2025.
  • 0-2 years of experience in operations, fintech, banking, or digital payments (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced fintech environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of digital payments, financial services, or fintech industry trends is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL or automation tools for operational reporting is a plus.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and eager to drive process improvements.
