Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Project and Product Management to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!

This role leads initiatives that drive Product Development & Enhancement (Business & IT Side), Business Support Services in Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Liaison with Regulator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Product Management

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace and each customer segment.
  • Develop and implement new product launches includes service level monitoring of the new product.
  • Develop systems and processes and test pilot them to ensure effective and efficient implementation of products and services campaigns.
  • Direct the execution of product plans in order to achieve the products’ growth, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Manage new product performance against targets, reviewing results on a regular basis in order to identify and prioritize adjustments to ensure targets are achieved and surpassed.

Project Management

  • Understands and utilizes standard project implementation methodologies and tools to manage the project life-cycle.
  • Produces the project definition document (approach, task, scope), co-ordinates sign off and ensure deliverables are included in consolidated project plan.
  • Ensures compliance with any product/functional standards.
  • Communicates status regularly to Senior Management Team (SMT) and respective stakeholders.
  • Proactively manages cost, deadlines, dependencies (internal and external) and communication on project progress.
  • Carries out a risk assessment, continually monitors project risks and develops a plan with mitigating actions.
  • Manages the Go Live support activity; Manages the escalation route for issues and attends the daily progress reviews during the post live support period.

Marketing Management

  • Understands the business objectives to be driven by marketing (e.g. brand recall, product awareness, tactical/contextual awareness and converts it into executable plan by liaising with internal resources or external resources.
  • Produces compelling ideas for utilize Public Relations machinery of the group to drive visibility of local business.
  • Custodianship of brand and its application across various mediums.
  • Internal communication (including internal newsletters) and customers communications.
  • Events and Sponsorships including CSR Initiatives.
  • Digital marketing including managing social influencers, affinity networks.
  • Budgeting, Planning (including allocation) and Execution of marketing spends to optimally support channels.

Business Support Services

  • Strategic Planning eg AOP, SPL & Roadmap
  • Thought leadership for functions.
  • Customer Loyalty measurements
  • Liaison with regulatory bodies
  • Business Continuity Planning

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinates all Workstreams – IT, Warehouse Implementation, Commercial/Product, Regulatory, RO.
  • Serves as the escalation point of contact for all project team members.
  • Ensures team member availability to perform their assigned tasks on time and budget and within quality expectations.

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, ideally in a logistics environment.
  • Experience more than 6 years in a project environment Essential
  • Experience with IT systems implementation desirable.
  • Certification in PRINCE2, PMP, or logistics-specialized project management methodologies will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Fluency in another East/Southeast Asian language desirable.
  • Postgraduate in Management would be preferred or Graduate in Management with sufficient experience in above area of responsibility.
  • Experience in critical thinking for product design, project management and working in ambiguity.
  • Domain expertise in logistics would be added advantage.
  • Experience in handling National Roles
