Job description

• Generate conceptual & details drawing for machine, Commissioning and customer signoff within project schedule and budgets.
• Support and manage the creation of design and development of Tox System by generating drawings, BOM list, product qualification test, functions and applications.
• Plan, direct, monitor and coordinate projects and daily mechanical activities to accomplish goals.
• Provide technical guidance, advise and solutions for engineering related problems.
• Responsible for Mechanical engineering development and training.
• Prepare, develop, and implement project management, engineering handbook, policy, KPIs, budgets, bids and contracts.
• Must prepare to travel local and overseas.
• Able to work under tight schedules to complete the design job on time.

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent / related field.

Experiences:

• 5 years and above of working experience in Automation field
• Experience Sheet Metal, mechanical assembly processes as well as high level of understanding of machine design and fabrication.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design and development of jigs, fixtures and tooling or equipment automation.
• Ensure customers’ requirements are met in design specification, evaluate feasibility and provide technical expertise.
• To collaborate and work together with other team members for the design concept arising from new projects proposal and confirmed projects.
• To perform mechanical design works which include create assembly drawing, prepare BOM list, detail part drawing & pneumatic drafting according schedule.
• Good at cost budgeting, calculation of automation parts, model selection and design.
• Discussing and solving problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
• Liaise with production team in ensuring a successful transfer of a new product fabrication into the existing production process.

Skills:

• Possess project management and job coordination skills.
• Good problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of mechanical design using Creo software
• Knowledge in automation systems and tools – pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, vision, material handling, conveyors, screws/fasteners, inspection/test, dispense process, material selection and etc.
• Knowledge in Design FMEA, Machine OEE, Gauge R&R and etc.
• Knowledge of structure or thermal simulation software.
