Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with team leads to understand business needs, conduct requirements analysis, and create functional specifications. Key responsibilities include developing solutions, contributing to application development, and ensuring compliance. A vital part of the role is creating visualizations and dashboards using Power BI. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team leads to understand business needs and strategies.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Help develop new capabilities within the organization.
  • Use analytical methods to solve problems effectively.
  • Create detailed functional design documents that align with business requirements.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Coordinate and participate in applications development projects.
  • Assess technical feasibility and resolve design and production issues.
  • Work with other departments to establish strategies for design, technology, and vendors.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and selection of information system solutions, focusing on functionality, security, and performance.
  • Ensure applications meet all requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Assist project teams with planning, scheduling, and risk management across multiple projects.
  • Support development teams during analysis, development, and testing processes.
  • Participate in training, documentation, and user acceptance testing efforts with vendors and related business functions.
  • Develop analytics and visualizations using Power BI to provide insights and support decision making.
  • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
Qualifications

Degree in Business/Commerce, Management Information Services, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Skills & Abilities
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI to create simple reports and visualizations from data.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes to assist in organizing and preparing data for analysis.
  • Introductory experience with Google Cloud services, especially Big Query and Cloud SQL, to support data retrieval and management.
  • Basic understanding of Generative AI concepts and their potential applications in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to use Power BI for creating reports, with knowledge of features like the Power BI Data Gateway and Power Automate.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with team members, aiding in data projects and contributing to team goals.
  • Familiarity with data management platforms, data analysis techniques, and data visualization tools, along with basic understanding of change management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key issues, gather relevant data for investigation, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Ability to recognize potential risks and make timely recommendations for mitigation.
