At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 55 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Equity, Malaysia and working closely with a senior sales manager in the team, you will help market Malaysia Equities to Institutional funds across all geographies with a focus on domestic clients and the rest of Asia. In collaboration with our equity research analysts, regional sales team and sales traders globally, you will bring independent insights, write sales notes and work on analytical products and content which augment buyside decision making.

In addition, you will also leverage our global platform and reach by developing and nurturing client relationships, promoting research, working together with our regional corporate access team on conferences, client events and company visits, and support the team overall on differentiated sales products and monetising those services.

What you offer
  • Excellent academic qualifications, ideally in finance, economics or a business discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in the Malaysia equities market gained from an equity research, institutional sales or similar role
  • Passion for quality research and analytical content with a track record of developing and/or managing client relationships effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a commercial mindset to analyse industry trends and key stock ideas
  • Ability to take initiative and thrive in a collaborative team culture with a strong sense of ownership, being persistent and highly motivated.
