Job Summary: The Operations Assistant supports retail store operations, focusing on inventory handling, stock control, and ensuring smooth back-end and front-end operations. This role ensures product availability, assists with stock movements, and maintains an organized retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing stock deliveries from suppliers or warehouses.
  2. Conduct regular stock counts and support inventory accuracy through proper documentation and reconciliation.
  3. Support replenishment of retail floor stock, ensuring proper product placement and labeling.
  4. Assist with stock transfers between outlets, including packing and documentation.
  5. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure stockroom and sales area.
  6. Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of low stock or discrepancies.
  7. Provide administrative support such as data entry, stock reporting, and inventory tracking.
  8. Coordinate with the retail team to ensure smooth store operations, especially during peak hours and promotional periods.
  9. Support customer service tasks when necessary, including assisting customers and handling basic inquiries.
  10. Perform ad hoc duties assigned by the Operation Manager.

Qualifications:

  • SPM, STPM, or Diploma in Business, Logistics, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in stock handling, inventory, or optical retail operations preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (especially MS Excel or inventory systems).
  • Physically fit and able to handle stock movement.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication abilities.
