About the role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Clerk to join our dynamic team at MahWengKwai & Associates in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Litigation Clerk, you will be responsible for providing vital administrative support to our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, ensuring the efficient and effective management of case files and supporting our legal professionals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and organising case files, legal documents and correspondence
  2. Assisting with document management, including filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic and physical records
  3. Maintaining and updating case management systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  4. Providing general administrative support to the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Litigation Clerk or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using Google Docs and other relevant technology
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Familiarity with the Malaysian legal system and court procedures would be an advantage
