Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring that all daily accounting KPIs are met.
• Timely reconciliation of sales, inter-company transactions, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and deposits.
• Prepare supporting schedules for the Management Account and monthly journal vouchers for management approval.
• Ensure the accurate and timely closure of monthly accounts and the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support the accounts closure and annual audit processes and work to streamline and revise accounting processes to promote accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor creditors’ aging and reconcile supplier statements, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division of a large corporation. Prior experience in the retail industry is an added advantage.
• Able to monitor and provide guidance to team members, oversee daily departmental activities, and possess excellent communication skills.
• Highly committed, driven, and displaying potential for advancement in the role.
• Open to travel as needed.
