- Identify and research potential clients and industry development opportunities.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
- Conduct sales pitches and presentations to introduce logistics and transport services to prospective clients.
- Engage actively with clients through calls, emails, and meetings to understand their logistics requirements.
- Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to create customized proposals and quotations for prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with potential clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company's services and expand the client base.
- Coordinate with the operations & customer service teams to understand current service offerings, capacities, and areas for improvement.
- Respond to customer inquiries for new quotations, ensuring a smooth customer experience throughout the process.
- Analyze existing client accounts and propose strategies to expand business opportunities.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling among existing clients in collaboration with external BD teams.
- Gather customer feedback and identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
- Conduct market research to identify potential growth areas within the current client base and suggest expansion strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, market trends, customer feedback, and business growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including operations and customer service.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven success in business development and sales within the logistics and transport industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset focused on identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes and industry trends.
- Results-driven with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Willingness to work on Saturdays and own transport.
