A leading distributor of workplace products is seeking a Supply and Demand Manager in Kulai, Malaysia. The role involves developing forecast models, improving demand accuracy, and collaborating across teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and at least 5 years of experience.
Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Successfully communicating forecast and inventory estimations to management.
Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Conducting monthly forecast maintenance and addressing demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Assisting in developing annual budgets and streamlining costs.
Scheduling regular forecast review meetings with management, suppliers, and marketing teams.
Maintaining demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
Updating forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, and promotions.
Working with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute demand planning activities.
Coordinating with the inventory team to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Providing leadership and guidance to the customer service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Monitoring service metrics, handling escalated customer inquiries, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborating with commercial teams, distributors, and global supply chain functions to understand market dynamics, demand variations, and customer requirements, fostering strong relationships for accurate demand signals and effective supply planning.
Ensuring proper workflow of supplier payments and finance processes in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot, matrix, formulas, etc.), strong stock management skills, SAP user, strong supplier management skills, analytical skills, and good knowledge of transport regulations.
Proficient in written and verbal English.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Supply, Control, and Operations.
