Job description

As a Pet Loving Company, we aspire to be the No.1 Pet Care Specialist in the industry and continue to exceed expectations and break boundaries to improve the quality of lives of pet owners and pets.

Purpose of the position

As our business continues to expand, we are introducing an established product range to new channels, targeting both domestic and international markets. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Manager who is adept at managing data, driving BTL activities, and supporting the business through this growth phase. The successful candidate will support the CEO / CMO and ensure effective management of all key channel activities for the Group Pet Care Division.

  • Lead the development of the Trade Marketing Strategy to achieve defined business objectives across the Pet Care category.
  • Own responsibility for the development, execution, and performance of all programs designed to increase market presence and sales.
  • Ensure alignment between Sales and Marketing teams regarding field sales needs and marketing initiatives, including coordination with Brand Marketing, Event Marketing, and sales management.
  • Manage participation in local and overseas exhibitions.
  • Leverage the Brand Positioning to solidify the company's superiority in the minds of customers.
  • Provide leadership in translating and executing the Marketing strategy into impactful programs.
  • Use the trade marketing budget effectively to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage Export Market Sales.
  • Arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials (POSM), including proof-reading, photoshoots, leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters, and DVDs.
  • Conduct market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups.
  • Develop the Malaysia Market and conduct monthly visits to distributors, wholesalers, re-sellers, and Key Accounts nationwide.
  • Monitor competitor activity.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Academic or trade qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communications, or equivalent.

Work experience and skills

  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferably with FMCG industry experience.
  • Ability to interact successfully across cultures.
  • Critical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, strong judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Willing to work late and demonstrate high commitment and responsibility.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing to travel outstation monthly for market visits.
  • Experience managing MT and GT channels.
  • Proven track record in developing guidelines, tracking, and managing sales stakeholders.
