Job description

1. Responsible for the management and monitoring of all assigned projects, including planning, layouts, detailed drawings, quality control, and execution to ensure standards are met within the allocated time and budget.

2. Develop and present feasibility studies, financial budgets, and other business documents to management. Provide advice and analysis on project planning and development.

3. Possess knowledge of authorities’ approval procedures; work with consultants to secure necessary planning and technical clearances. Coordinate and manage liaison teams to expedite approvals from technical departments and local authorities, including KM/DO, Building Plan, & Infra Approval in various local authorities.

4. Monitor submissions and follow up with local authorities for planning approvals, building plans, and Certificates of Completion and Compliance (CCC).

5. Conduct project team and CCM meetings to foster teamwork and cooperation among departments, consultants, and contractors.

6. Define key KPIs for project teams, ensure proper project close-out, and prioritize strategic projects.

7. Assist management with realistic overall planning and scheduling.

8. Regularly report to the Managing Director and management on project progress, issues encountered, and potential solutions.

Other duties as required by the company.

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess a recognized Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualification in Civil Engineering, Property/Estate Management, Town Planning, Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably with property developers involved in mixed or township developments.
  3. Knowledge of statutory acts, building, planning, and local authority by-laws is essential.
  4. Good communication and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong analytical skills.

Additional advantages:

  1. Experience in QAQC, Quantity Surveying, Feasibility Studies, or Architecture.
  2. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage for stakeholder engagement.
  3. Current residence in Johor Bahru for ease of site access and coordination.
