We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our IT department as a Business/Data Analyst. This unique role offers a dynamic opportunity to start by gaining a deep understanding of our business processes and data landscape as a Business Analyst. Simultaneously, you will be the primary point of contact (PIC) for data analysis projects, managing them from inception to successful delivery. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Business Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Document business requirements, workflows, and user stories. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather and understand business needs.
2. Data Exploration and Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's data sources, structures, and relationships. Assist in data quality assessments and identify data gaps. Support data governance initiatives by documenting data definitions and metadata.
3. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and the IT department. Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide updates. Perform in-depth data analysis using various tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization software). Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support business decision-making.
4. Project Management: Act as the project manager for data analysis projects, from initial scoping to final delivery. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Manage project resources and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Monitor project progress and identify and mitigate risks. Coordinate with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project success.
5. Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Gather and document detailed data requirements for analysis projects. Translate business needs into technical specifications.
6. Data Quality & Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data used in analysis and reporting. Implement data validation and quality control procedures. Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques. Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes and analysis methodologies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Understanding of business processes.
• Experience in requirements gathering.
