Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves assessing risks, conducting safety audits, managing environmental impact, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations. Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for prevention. Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency response.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and standards. Monitor and manage waste disposal, recycling programs, and pollution control measures. Develop and implement programs to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards. Coordinate with other departments to ensure safety and environmental considerations are integrated into operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety and environmental legislation and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental activities, incidents, and compliance. Prepare and present reports to management and regulatory agencies as needed. Ensure proper documentation for training, inspection, and compliance audits.
- Lead and mentor safety and environmental staff. Promote a positive safety culture and encourage engagement in safety initiatives.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Management, Environmental, or related fields, with more than 5 years of experience in manufacturing or the chemical industry at a managerial level.
- Strong communication skills, professional expertise, and planning abilities.
- Good knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as OSH Act 1994, Environmental Act, ISO 14001.
- Fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
