Job description

We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our growing team! If you're passionate about machinery, electrical systems, and maintenance work, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for completing all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  • Assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
  • Complete the Scheduled Preventive Maintenance program as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Assist TCGM or HWM operations if needed.
  • Monitor and update inventory of spare parts, consumables, and related materials.
  • Liaise with clients to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Follow up on ad-hoc activities assigned by clients and engineers.
  • Meet KPIs and comply with legal requirements at the site and client.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Diploma in Engineering or 2-3 years of relevant experience in Chemical and Gas Distribution systems or equivalent.

Proficient knowledge in:

  • Electrical, instruments, mechanical, and chemical systems.
  • Preparation of service reports and documentation.
  • Maintenance service activities.
  • Emergency rectifications related to chemical and gas management systems.
  • Chemical systems, Programmable Logic Control, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, electronic, and EHS.
  • Emergency Response Team (ERT) responsibilities.
  • Handling forklifts.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of systems/machines.
  • Safety training from recognized agencies like NIOSH is an advantage.
  • Professional training on chemical system handling.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and Gas Detectors.
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate attributes like honesty, respect, flexibility, sound work ethics, teamwork, willingness to travel, and hard work.

Citizenship required.

Salary: Basic RM1700 - RM1800 with allowances. Refer to the application details.
