The company's Malaysian site is based in Johor Bahru, with working locations subject to project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, including variance analyses and cost control strategies.
- Track and monitor production costs, raw material usage, labor expenses, and overhead allocations.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost standards for products and services to support competitive pricing.
- Periodically review and update standard costs based on market trends, operational shifts, and business requirements.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with procurement, operations, sales, and other departments to promote cost efficiency across the organization.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis on new projects, pricing strategies, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting principles.
- Support month-end closing processes, including cost reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Prepare comprehensive costing reports and offer actionable insights to support management decisions and audit readiness.
Cost Optimization & Strategic Recommendations
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of financial models to optimize operations and resource allocation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, finance, or related roles experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros, and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).

Salary Range: MYR4,000 - MYR8,000
