Job description

Process Engineer (Raw water and wastewater treatment, water reclamation)

• As a water engineer, you will provide strategic, cross-functional, and technical leadership in raw water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water reclamation throughout all project development stages and asset operation.

• You will be an integral part of our dynamic and expanding Engineering Team based in Georgetown, Penang, collaborating with experts in the Water discipline.

• You will explore and implement innovative technologies for raw water treatment, wastewater management, and water conservation, identifying opportunities for water reduction and reuse to support our strategic goals.

• Assist in securing projects by contributing to technical proposals, tender submissions, and related documentation.

What You Will Do

• Implement water and wastewater technology solutions at treatment facilities across the ASEAN region, aiming to meet economic, sustainability, and reliability targets.

• Contribute to project development efforts.

• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities.

• Assist in troubleshooting and provide operational guidance for treatment technologies.

• Conduct site visits and participate in business travel as required.

About You
Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Over 2 years of experience in developing water and wastewater treatment solutions.

• Proficiency in English and Malay; knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.

• Familiarity with SPAN and MWA technical guidelines.

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, SketchUp.

• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, engineering, design, and operation.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and implement improvements.

• Experience working with operating organizations and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and in teams.

• Skilled in interpreting and developing P&ID diagrams and performing detailed process calculations.
