The Studio Lead at Zulu Fitness plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the studio and the development of our member community. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all operations, managing staff, ensuring member satisfaction, and driving the overall success of the studio. You will lead by example, embodying the Zulu Fitness ethos, and working closely with the management team to maintain a high standard of service and a thriving fitness community.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader with experience in fitness management, a passion for member engagement, and the ability to inspire both staff and members to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Studio Operations:

· Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

· Manage class schedules, bookings, and attendance, ensuring optimal capacity for each session.

· Ensure the studio is always clean, well-organised, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Team Leadership & Staff Management:

· Lead, train, and motivate a team of trainers and front-of-house staff.

· Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to align staff on goals and objectives.

· Handle staffing schedules, including class coverage, leave approvals, and performance reviews.

Member Experience:

· Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all members.

· Address member queries and feedback promptly, maintaining a high standard of customer service.

· Drive member engagement through community events, challenges, and personalised touchpoints.

Sales & Membership Growth:

· Lead membership sales efforts, including tours, consultations, and new member onboarding.

· Implement and track promotions, member referral programs, and retention strategies.

· Monitor membership metrics and work to achieve monthly sales targets.

Event Management:

· Plan and execute studio events, workshops, and pop-up classes to enhance member engagement and attract new clients.

· Collaborate with external partners and influencers to create buzz around the Zulu Fitness brand.

Administrative & Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of member accounts, class attendance, and staff schedules.

· Track studio performance metrics and report regularly to upper management on studio KPIs.

· Manage studio budget, including expenses, payroll, and inventory.

Brand & Community Development:

· Act as a brand ambassador for Zulu Fitness, promoting the studio’s values both inside and outside of the studio.

· Build relationships with local businesses and influencers to enhance brand visibility and community presence.

Requirements

· Minimum 3 years of experience in fitness studio management or a similar leadership role.

· Strong understanding of studio operations, fitness trends, and member engagement strategies.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

· A passion for fitness

· Proven track record in driving membership sales and retention.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
