Senior Expeditor
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable organisation for an experienced Expeditor. The role involves managing supplier coordination and ensuring timely delivery of goods, documentation, and services for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues

• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to provide updates and foster strong relationships

• Ensure documentation and deliverables are received per purchase order terms

• Develop or adapt expediting plans based on project schedules and equipment criticality

• Monitor supplier progress from engineering to delivery, escalating delays where necessary

• Review inspection reports for compliance and raise non-conformities to relevant parties

• Maintain detailed expediting reports and distribute them regularly to the project team

• Liaise with logistics to trace major shipments and coordinate delivery timelines

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and QA/QC to resolve any commercial or quality concerns

• Update internal systems with delivery status and maintain documentation in line with SOPs

• Assist with PO closeout and support supplier performance reviews

Technical Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, specs, and data requirements

• Strong decision-making and planning skills

• Experience with project management or expediting software

• Knowledge of packing, shipping, and customs processes for machinery and equipment

• Familiarity with materials and supplier bases used in engineering projects

• Proficient in MS Office for data analysis and reporting

• Experience with SAP and Documentum preferred

Qualifications:

• Diploma in engineering with extensive relevant experience

• Degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field preferred

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in expediting and inspection for graduates

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience for diploma holders
