Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely processing of transactions to support the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Handle data entry related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense submissions.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents.
- Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties related to finance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience At least 2 years as an Accounts Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
