Job Details:
Key Responsibilities:
- WWTP Operations:
- Ensure that WWTP equipment functions properly and operates within desired parameters.
- Read and interpret data from flow meters and gauges to assess equipment efficiency.
- Review operational data and adjust treatment methods as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and management regarding plant operations and conditions.
- Perform in-house wastewater testing and prepare samples for external analysis.
- Maintain logs, records, and reports of WWTP activities.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
- WWTP Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and monitor equipment for potential failures, making repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance WWTP performance and reduce downtime.
- Monitor project installations, including upgrades and automation equipment.
- Assist and supervise external vendors and contractors for specialized services and procurement.
- Analyze equipment downtime trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure treated discharge water meets regulatory standards (Standard A).
- Handle waste and chemicals in compliance with DOE and DOSH guidelines, including proper labeling, packaging, and storage.
- Maintain adherence to all WWTP codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Plant Water Supply System Management:
- Monitor the SAINS main water supply, tank levels, and respond to shortages or alarms.
- Inspect water quality visually and perform backwashing when necessary.
- Ensure all water pumps operate correctly and report their status.
- Schedule and oversee cleaning of water tanks and bi-weekly inspections of tank seals.
- Regularly check, clean, and replace water filters as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Certified Environmental Professionals in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (CePIETSO).
- Diploma or higher in Chemical or Environmental Engineering/Science.
- Strong technical understanding of IETS.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Waste Water Treatment Plant.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SAP.
