Job summary
A leading company in the beauty industry is seeking a Demand Planner to manage inventory and forecast product demand. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in demand planning, preferably within FMCG. Job Responsibilities
- Forecast product demand based on historical sales, market trends, and inputs from sales and e-commerce teams.
- Coordinate monthly sales reports and forecasts; ensure timely collection and consolidation of data.
- Manage Stock on Hand (SOH) to maintain healthy inventory turnover and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Conduct monthly product ordering based on forecasts and sales performance.
- Allocate stock across various channels (retail, e-commerce, distributors).
- Monitor key KPIs such as forecast accuracy, sales performance, and inventory turnover.
- Manage product orders, stock replenishment, and shipment coordination.
- Oversee product lifecycle transitions (phase-in/phase-out) to ensure smooth introductions and timely product availability.
- Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and identify appropriate disposition strategies.
- Support new product launches by coordinating with relevant teams.
- Maintain and execute internal ordering processes via systems like Jiandaoyun, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
- Provide weekly updates on stock status and new product launch stock availability.
- Manage monthly sales reports.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors or the company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or similar roles (preferably in FMCG or the beauty industry).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and develop actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in the beauty or FMCG industry is a plus.
