Job description

- To monitor and maintain all servers and OS-related services during daily operations, recovery operations, or testing to keep systems healthy and ensure they perform within the expected range.

- Provide unlimited online (remote) and on-site support for System Software and related components.

- Perform 24x7 monitoring of Critical Red Hat Servers, including details on methods, tools, and alert mechanisms to be provided by the Company.

- Offer break-fix support, monitoring, and maintenance of all servers and OS-related services during daily and recovery operations to maintain system health.

- Ensure systems operate within expected parameters.

- Use checklists and alerts for routine maintenance activities to prevent errors, and document any changes affecting system operability.

- Organize monitoring and maintenance tasks into a schedule to maintain desired service states.

- Assist in completing security tasks such as firmware or kernel upgrades, hardening, and patching.

- Maintain up-to-date inventory and documentation of Red Hat server specifications, ownership, and installed applications/software.

- Perform 24x7 monitoring of critical servers, with details on methods, tools, and alert mechanisms provided by the Company.

- Perform patching based on vulnerability severity and latest security updates.

- Support migration and integration of Virtual Machines or Physical servers into Virtual Environments or vice versa.

- Engage with Red Hat Principal for professional advisory services to improve systems.

- Assist in automating current OS-related processes through scripting based on provided cases.

- Support new IT projects such as server deployment, migration, integration with Nagios Monitoring and Puppet, security scanning, testing, and daily operational work (BAU).

- Provide operational and organizational support, including disaster recovery activities.

Note: Support Engineers shall be at minimum Red Hat Certified System Administrators (RHCSA).
