A leading distributor in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer to provide technical support and engage customers for fiber optic solutions. The role involves preparing proposals, achieving sales targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a relevant degree and strong communication skills.
Provide technical insights and support for Kabex products, including data center and Fiber cable solutions (indoor/outdoor), as well as FTTx test measurement solutions.
Deliver engaging sales presentations and demonstrations, emphasizing product features, performance, and benefits.
Customer Education and Engagement:
Educate customers on the company’s products and equipment features, offering professional advice during sales interactions.
Conduct site visits to demonstrate equipment and ensure the appropriate application of technical solutions.
Manage and implement sales activities to achieve conversion rates and sales objectives within the assigned territory.
Engage in proactive client outreach, including scheduled visits and strategic cold calling, to expand and strengthen the customer base.
Proposal and Quotation Preparation:
Prepare detailed sales proposals and quotations tailored to customer needs, including pricing negotiations and follow-up communications.
Handle technical inquiries and ensure timely delivery of solutions to meet customer requirements.
Performance Monitoring:
Prepare and submit detailed sales and marketing reports on a monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual basis to monitor performance and inform strategic decisions.
Customer Satisfaction:
Schedule periodic customer visits and conduct satisfaction surveys to gather feedback and improve service delivery.
Develop and maintain strong after-sales support and goodwill with customers.
Target Achievement:
Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets consistently.
Pre-requisition:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Photonics) or Physics, or a related field. A degree in Computer Science is also acceptable.
Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications or ICT. However, applications from talented fresh graduates are welcome.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written.
Possess own car transport and willingness to travel outstation.
Excellent self-presentation and business etiquette. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with a results-oriented approach and a drive to achieve targets.
