Job description

Job Summary

The prime objective of the Analyst, Unit Financial Control is to reconcile daily incoming/outgoing cash movements on TLB DDA accounts, provide aging reports and status updates to RBC Agency, and enrich entries in Chase to assist with wire investigations.

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

  1. Reconcile designated processes under prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and apply knowledge of Product Operations, procedures, methods, and systems to the reconciliation process.
  2. Ensure timely receipt of daily/monthly data feeds, follow up on missing or incorrect information, including IT incident tickets.
  3. Apply knowledge of supported products and processes, such as payment methods, terms, conditions, and general operating policies used by correspondents, clients, and agents in account reconciliation.
  4. Maintain accuracy to correctly identify and investigate discrepancies.
  5. Support the creation, updating, and maintenance of SOPs, demonstrating strong understanding and application of procedures.
  6. Strictly adhere to policies and regulatory requirements.
  7. Understand operational controls and their application to reconciliation processing.
  8. Use good judgment and decision-making skills, demonstrating knowledge of products, transactional flows, and accounting related to supported Client Groups.
  9. Identify and investigate true breaks within SLAs, escalate potential losses immediately.
  10. Promote teamwork, open communication, and positive staff morale.
  11. Share information proactively with colleagues.
  12. Identify system or process improvements to streamline reconciliation and increase efficiency, such as matching rules or automation.
  13. Identify service gaps and suggest improvements to management.
  14. Coordinate personal development and cross-training as needed.
  15. Support reconciliation processes, including month-end and standalone processes within the team’s scope.
  16. Be flexible to support project work outside standard reconciliation tasks as directed by management.
