Job Description:

As a Physical Design engineer, the candidate will be trained and contribute into IC design implementation, engaging in projects to perform
floorplan, Place & Route, timing closure, DRC/LVS, reliability EM/IR and exposure into Design Control Procedures (DCP) best-known
methods through various checks/verification/audit. Opportunity to proactively work closely with design implementation and CAD team while
staying abreast with industry’s best-in-class design methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Perform auto Place-and-Route, covering floorplanning, PG mesh, placement, CTS, routing and chip finishing.
• Close timing, DRC/LVS and RV on complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem or device level (100K to 10M+ gates) which are coded in VHDL/Verilog.
• Work with local project lead to fulfill design specification while meeting best QoR on performance, power and area metrics.
• Analyze log and report files, tweak inputs/configs/scripts based on engineering judgment while learning each blocks’ sweetspot through experimentation.
• Communicate regularly with local project lead to resolve issues and to ensure meeting targeted goals and schedule

Requirements/Qualifications:

Fresh graduate with BSEE – CGPA 3.50 above is encouraged to apply while engineers with 1-4 years of ASIC development experience are preferable:

• BSc/MSc in EE or Computer Science.
• Understand transistor schematic and layout basic concepts.
• Understand Design-For-Test basic concepts and methodologies.
• Understand digital logic and timing requirement (setup/hold/uncertainties).
• Scripting skills in any programming language (preferably Perl, TCL and Shell) is a plus.
• Knowledge on RTL coding and synthesis concept is a plus.
• Proactive in learning and working under local project lead/supervisor mentorship
• Ability in debugging and problem solving with high analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
