Purpose of the Role:
Support operations in overseeing the logistics of MDD. This will include planning and managing all transport related activities, ensuring all key performance are carried out to a high service standard while maintaining operational efficiencies; and performs related duties as assigned.
Expectations of the Role:
Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining economical and efficient transportation services for MDD.
Understand and deliver agreed KPIs as set by the principals.
Ensure compliance with all legislation relating to transport activities and maintain awareness of all relevant transport legislation including those owned by 3rd party vendors.
Assist in identifying actions and opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and improve levels of service to the customer – both internal and external.
Ensure effective forward planning of labor and resources through interface with planning functions within the different business units of MDD. Analyze reports, review activity and resource to ensure the transport plan is in line with operation activities and throughput.
Manpower planning and management of logistic team on overtime and weekend/public holiday work where required.
Maintain all safety programs and transportation records for the company including the maintenance of vehicles on daily, weekly or monthly schedule.
Responsible for transportation analysis and savings/cost opportunity analysis and the implementation and management of cost analysis measures.
Work with other section managers to improve operational and performance metrics.
Ensure there is prompt and effective communication both internally and externally tokeep all interested parties informed proactively.This includes but is not limited to, superiors, sub-ordinates, colleagues, principals and customers.
Customers & Principals orientation - focused on identifying and meeting/ exceeding customer/principal needs. Understands customer & principal’s business environment. Strives to establish successful long-term business partnerships with customers & principals and remains professional at all times when dealing with them.
Participate in planned cycle count and annual stock take as assigned when required.
Attend, participate and conduct department meetings including cross-functional meetings when needed. Support and participate in cross-functional projects when assigned/appropriate.
Ensure that the Company is qualified in accordance to ISO, SOP, GSDP, GDP, GDPMD and GMP’s requirements as well as the Zuellig Pharma’s Code of Conduct.
Ensure and maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
Perform other duties as assigned when required.
Attributes Required:
Must-Have:
At least a Degree in Supply Chain/Logistic or related qualifications. Diploma holder with relevant working experience can be considered
Minimum 3 years’ experience in transportation/logistics industries preferable in MNC/FMCG warehouse & distribution and retails environment

Knowledge of transport regulations.
