Job description

Job Overview

• Quality in Distribution – To implement and govern Quality and Food Safety processes to deliver Quality in Distribution along the entire supply chain which includes markets for Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia and be a backup for other SEA markets as required and as applicable.
• Ensuring compliance to Mars Global Quality and Food Safety standards and Local regulations by developing Quality and Food Safety capabilities and mindsets to drive and sustain Quality and Safety culture. This role plays a key role as safety and quality governance for logistics by constantly working with logistics operations team and service providers.
• This role is responsible to conduct regular audits on distribution quality in alignment with logistics operations team and each warehouse partners. Reports of audit must be provided to ensure compliance to standards and for continuous improvements. Manage incident management on Quality & Food Safety in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia markets, and as a back-up for other SEA markets as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement, govern and manage Quality and Food Safety to ensure compliance to Mars standard and related regulations of the defined countries of Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia & Support on other SEA countries.
• This role will be responsible to handle the Distribution Quality Management program implementation among the Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia markets as applicable and be back up or support to other SEA markets as required.
• Support SEA Market Q&S Manager in end-to-end effective implementation and deployment of Quality Management System (QMS), QMP Framework and applicable Supply Chain and Market Unit Q&FS Standards.
• Conduct risk assessment based on External Manufacturing Quality Management (EMQM) and Distribution Quality Management (DQM) standards for all the warehouse operations in the applicable Market Unit.
• Lead the implementation of Mars Quality Standards, including QMP, EMQM, DQM, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for applicable markets.
• Manage complaints investigation, key SPOC for Consumer, Customer & Warehouse complaints, and Product Related Incident Management Process (PRIMP) for the applicable Market Units.
• Responsible for training warehouse operations team on the related standards and applicable risk assessment requirements or other Global Mars Standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance in traceability and support other logistics projects when required.
• Support In QMP/QMSS Internal Audit and External LRQA audit, Non-Conformance management, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA processes.
• Provide Quality Insight and Design Quality in for new development and continuous improvement.
• Back up participant in Regional Quality Forum for give & take the best practices and standardization as required.
• Create and enhance quality mindsets and culture in the applicable Market Unit.
• Administration of documents on NEXUS and shared folders related to SEA market unit SOP, Logistics risk assessments (LRA), EMPRA product risk assessment, Technical Specification, audit report and other related documents for the applicable Market Units.

Deliverables: Implement, govern and continuously improve Quality and Food Safety standards especially EMQM & DQM standards in defined markets of Southeast Asia unit and reach the yearly unit targets.

This role will collaborate with logistics operations team and 3PL /4PL and internal & external stakeholders to meet requirements of the quality standards by:

• Provide updated guidance to logistics operations and warehouse vendors.
• Provide training to logistics operations team and 3PL/4PL on quality standards and practices, including knowledge management for existing operators and newcomers.
• Arrange internal audit and 3PL/4PL audit. Audit reports must be published to relevant parties within targeted timeframe.
• Follow up actions to close gaps from audit reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with logistics operations team for any changes of the standards.
• This role will be logistics representative in CAPA management. He or She will be a single point of contact of CAPA to manage and control logistics CAPA and actions related to logistics team to deliver zero CAPA overdue.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in food science, Food Technology or related science or technical fields
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality or R&D in Manufacturing or FMCG Industry.
• Experience in quality assurance, implementation of quality and food safety program, quality management systems is preferable.
• Auditor experience and applicant with hands on work experience on good warehouse management and audit experience will be highly advantage.
• Good verbal & written communication skill in English.
• Technical problem solving (RCA, FMEA, Fishbone, Quality Risk assessments).
• FSSC 22000, ISO 9001 lead auditor certification and preferable experience in managing internal and external Quality Management Audits.
• Good understanding and awareness on distribution management systems for warehouses.
