Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled project supervisor to oversee renovation and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, ensuring quality and timely delivery while coordinating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have relevant diplomas and experience in project supervision, along with strong communication skills in English and Mandarin. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in supervising renovation or interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, understand Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

The Job

    • To supervise and oversee renovation and interior fit-out projects across our facilities.
    • This role involves managing the daily execution of renovation works, ensuring high-quality outcomes, maintaining project timelines, and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee all renovation and interior fit-out activities from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor daily site operations and evaluate contractor performance.
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure all works align with project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality, safety, and company standards.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports, highlighting delays or issues where necessary.
  • Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Manage defect rectifications and ensure smooth project handovers.


The Candidate

  • Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in supervising renovation or interior fit-out projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, understand Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and prepare competitive tenders under tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate with strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel outstation.
  • Open to Malaysian citizens only.
