Retail Operations, Executive/Senior Executive (Based in Petaling Jaya)

The Retail Operations, Executive/Senior Executive will support the implementation of initiatives to drive operational excellence, focusing on retail process & systems improvement and competency development among retail salespersons. This role aims to ensure the retail business achieves its sales and customer service goals through strategic management of operations, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct data-driven functional analysis using D365 CRM and ERP applications.
2. Manage non-trade purchase and sample requisition processes and documentation.
3. Assist in executing strategic sales and operational plans to maximize store performance, efficiency, revenue, and profitability.
4. Align retail operations with broader company objectives, supporting long-term goals.
5. Operational Efficiency & Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in sales processes & systems, develop solutions to improve sales performance, inventory management, and customer experience. Streamline workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs while maintaining high service standards. Map work processes for ongoing improvement.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze sales and operational data, track KPIs, and generate reports on sales trends, inventory, and operational issues. Use data insights to recommend improvements.
7. Training and Development – Process & Systems: Onboard and train new sales staff on sales processes & systems. Serve as SME on D365 CRM and ERP, advocating for system use and effectiveness. Ensure staff are proficient in these tools.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, finance, logistics, store managers, and regional managers to ensure cohesive execution of strategies and seamless customer experience.
9. Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and assist in implementing new systems or technologies to streamline operations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 2-3 years of experience in retail sales operations or related roles.
• Experience with data, process, and systems management.
• Proficiency in D365 CRM and ERP.
• Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint skills, and numerical ability.
• Good facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Own transport and willingness to travel outstation.
• Based in HQ in Petaling Jaya.
