Warehouse Manager play a role to manage, plan, and oversee all warehouse operations including the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of goods while ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards. The Warehouse Manager will lead the warehouse team, develop operational SOPs, and support company objectives through continuous improvement and optimal resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Department Management
Provide leadership to the warehouse team to achieve the key objectives of the company and build a competent, capable team.
Plan and manage departmental resources to optimize operational performance and enhance value to all company stakeholders.
Develop, enhance, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service quality.
Responsible for the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in areas of customer, internal business processes, operational cost, people development, and vendor management within the warehouse function.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods.
Ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical stock takes, and timely system updates.
Plan and supervise vehicle scheduling, loading activities, and ensure on-time dispatch readiness.
Manage warehouse space utilization, stock rotation, and housekeeping to maintain operational standards.
Oversee maintenance and upkeep of warehouse machinery and equipment.
Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational reports in accordance with the KPIs set.
Track and report on warehouse performance indicators such as on-time dispatch, inventory accuracy, and operational cost management.
Recommend and implement corrective actions for operational improvements.
Operational Coordination
Liaise with internal departments including transport, maintenance, forwarding, and customer service to coordinate operational activities.
Support operational readiness by collaborating on equipment availability, maintenance scheduling (for warehouse machinery), and vendor management.
Attend operational coordination meetings and site inspections as required.
Requirement:
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of working experience in warehouse and inventory operations, preferably within a logistics, transportation, or distribution environment.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Prior experience in supervising teams and managing operational KPIs is required.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Sound knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
