Job Summary:
The Warehouse and Inventory Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, timely stock replenishment, and proper documentation. The executive coordinates with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to maintain efficient warehouse operations and optimize inventory control processes, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, ensuring effective coordination among staff.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure warehouse employee safety.
- Manage inventory by maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet daily operational needs, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
- Train, mentor, and provide feedback to warehouse staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with quality standards.
- Handle and resolve warehouse-related issues or conflicts promptly, maintaining positive employee relations.
- Prepare reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory levels, and receiving accuracy, with recommendations for improvement.
- Support office administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, receiving parcels, and handling calls if required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
- Team player within a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in safety protocol implementation.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualities:
- Proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Experience or familiarity with the mining or heavy industries is an advantage.
