· Read the communication book for events, happenings, and updates of hotel operations.
· Attend daily briefings.
· Ensure promptness in delivering or executing guest requests.
· Attend the Banquet Coordination Meeting in the absence of the Bell Captain.
· Maintain grooming standards in accordance with hotel policies.
· Greet guests with the Malaysian way and offer assistance to all arriving and departing guests.
· Open car doors for arriving guests at the entrance.
· Open the lobby door for incoming guests.
· Run errands for guests with the approval of the Duty Manager.
· Handle guest luggage with care to prevent damage; report any damage to the Bell Captain.
· Load and unload guest luggage from tour buses at designated areas outside the main entrance, ensuring safety and traffic flow.
· Coordinate the delivery and collection of group luggage upon arrival and departure.
· Ensure timely delivery of all guest luggage to respective rooms and record stored luggage with claim tickets.
· Promptly send all guest messages, faxes, and deliveries to rooms; record items delivered to rooms.
· Assist guests with flight, restaurant, and tourist attraction arrangements, promoting hotel outlets when possible.
· Assist with transport and tour arrangements, including airport transfers.
· Stay informed about tourist events, happenings, and points of interest in Penang.
· Replenish tourist information brochures as needed.
· Be aware of in-house functions and direct guests accordingly.
· Use paging systems to locate guests in the lobby/outlet area.
· Deliver daily newspapers to guest rooms promptly.
· Provide introductions to hotel F&B outlets and facilities.
· Provide umbrellas to guests during inclement weather.
· Keep the luggage room and work area clean and organized.
· Ensure the driveway, main entrance, and lobby are clean; coordinate with Housekeeping for maintenance needs.
· Arrange lobby furniture properly after guest use.
· Enforce non-smoking policies in the lobby sitting area.
· Report any unusual occurrences to management.
· Send deliveries and faxes to other departments as necessary.
